Terms & Privacy.

The agreement between you and MVPicker LLC, what we collect and why, and the short version on how this is a free skill game.

MVPicker — Terms of Service

MVPicker is operated by MVPicker LLC (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using MVPicker, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use MVPicker.

1 · Who can use MVPicker. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission. MVPicker is intended for users located in the United States. You confirmed these things when you created your account.

2 · What MVPicker is. MVPicker is a free, skill-based prediction game for college football. You make predictions about real games; they are scored against the results under the rules published at /rules. MVPicker is free to play — there are no entry fees and no purchase is required. From time to time we may offer a skill-based contest with a prize, governed by separate Official Contest Rules posted on the site; entry is free, no purchase or contribution is ever required to enter or win, and contributions affect only cosmetic recognition — never eligibility, scoring, standings, or chances of winning. You may choose to make a voluntary contribution to support MVPicker. In return you may receive cosmetic items or on-site recognition (for example, badges) that have no cash value and provide no competitive advantage and no effect on scoring or standings. Contributions are optional and, except where required by law, are non-refundable.

3 · Your account. Keep your account secure and don’t share your login or magic-link emails. Provide a working email and a display name that follows Section 4. One account per person. Tell us at support@mvpicker.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4 · Acceptable use. Don’t: create multiple accounts to manipulate standings; impersonate real people; use offensive, hateful, or harassing display or pool names; scrape or redistribute MVPicker content commercially; or try to defeat the pick-lock or scoring. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion. To report content, email support@mvpicker.com.

5 · Scoring. Scoring is governed by the rulebook at /rules and is final. If you think something was scored incorrectly, contact support@mvpicker.com; we’ll look into it but are not obligated to change final results except for official result corrections or scoring errors on our end.

6 · Intellectual property. The MVPicker name, logo, design, rules, and software are ours. Don’t copy or redistribute them without permission. You may screenshot your own picks and standings to share. MVPicker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any conference, the College Football Playoff, or any school; team and conference names are used only to identify games.

7 · Your content. You keep ownership of your picks and display name. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote them in connection with the service (for example, on leaderboards).

8 · Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We don’t sell your data.

9 · Ending your account. You can delete your account anytime in settings; your personal data is removed after a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms.

10 · Disclaimer and limit of liability. MVPicker is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Game data comes from third-party sources. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid or contributed to us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $0 if you made no payment or contribution. Any contest is also subject to the limitation of liability and release in the Official Contest Rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11 · Disputes. Most issues are resolved by emailing support@mvpicker.com. Before bringing any claim, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to resolve it. You and MVPicker waive the right to a jury trial and agree that neither party will bring or participate in any class, collective, or representative action. Except for matters that may be brought in small-claims court, and except for any right that cannot be waived under applicable law, you agree not to pursue claims against MVPicker, and neither party is required to use arbitration.

12 · Changes. We may update these Terms. The version posted on this page is the current version, and changes take effect when posted. For material changes, we’ll notify registered users by email and ask you to agree again. Your continued use after an update means you accept it.

13 · General. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any matter permitted to be brought in court will be handled exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and MVPicker LLC about MVPicker. We may assign them; you may not. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You agree we may communicate with you electronically, and that electronic agreements and notices satisfy any requirement that they be in writing.

MVPicker — Privacy Policy

MVPicker LLC runs MVPicker. We collect the minimum we need to run a free pick’em game, we don’t sell your data, and MVPicker is intended for users in the United States.

What we collect. Your email and display name; your picks and pool memberships; and basic technical data (IP address and browser type) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. We don’t collect your real name, phone number, mailing address, full payment card details, or precise location, except as needed to award a contest prize. If you make a voluntary contribution, our third-party payment processor handles the transaction; we don’t receive or store your full card details, but we do receive limited information about the contribution, such as your name, email address, the amount, and a transaction identifier. If you win a contest, we collect the information needed to award the prize, confirm your eligibility, and meet our tax obligations — for example, your legal name, mailing address, and taxpayer identification number (collected via IRS Form W-9).

Why we collect it. To run the service (score picks, show leaderboards, sign you in), to email you (magic links and account/game updates), to prevent abuse, and to fix problems.

Who we share it with. Only the infrastructure providers that help us run MVPicker (such as our hosting, database, email, payment, and error-tracking providers), and — for contest winners — the tax authorities and any payment or tax-filing provider we use to pay your prize and issue the associated tax form (for example, IRS Form 1099-MISC), and only the data they need. They are bound by contract to use it only to provide their service to us. We don’t have advertisers and we don’t sell or share your personal information.

How long we keep it. While your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data after a 30-day grace period. We keep only de-identified records that aren’t tied to you — for example, aggregate pick statistics and a record that an account agreed to these terms, with your identifying details removed.

Your choices. Email privacy@mvpicker.com from your account address to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your data, and we’ll take care of it. You can delete your account anytime in settings.

Security. We use encryption in transit, hash any passwords, use secure session cookies, and rate-limit logins and signups. No system is perfectly secure, but we aim to protect your data.

Cookies. We set one sign-in cookie so you stay logged in. Our analytics are cookieless and privacy-first — they set no cookies and collect no personal data, so they run without a consent prompt. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children. MVPicker is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If we learn we have, we delete it. Email privacy@mvpicker.com if you believe a child under 13 has an account.

Changes. We may update this Policy. The version posted on this page is the current one, and changes take effect when posted. We’ll email registered users before material changes.
